Hey, guys. Axe here, of functionalmedicine and founder of DrAxe . Today I'm going to share with you the exact diet, treatmentand supplements you need to take the clear Candida from your body. And this is what Ireally consider to be my SixStep Candida Cure Diet Protocol. And you're going to seeamazing results with this protocol. And let me say this first, what is Candida?Candida is the overgrowth of yeast and bad bacteria in your body and it can cause somemajor symptoms that you want to get rid of. And so some of the symptoms of Candida caninclude any type of fatigue issue. If you struggle with chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue,those can be related to Candida.
Any type of leaky gut issue. Leaky gut isintestinal permeability, where proteins like gluten can leak through your gut and causeinflammation of your body. So if you have food sensitivities or if you have digestiveissues like gas and bloating, also if you have any problem related to the thyroid, thosecan be warning signs you have Candida. Also if you get yeast in your body. If younotice, let's say, yeast or whiteness on your tongue or if you ever get chronic yeast infectionsor coming down with the cold and flu often, those can be warning signs that you have Candida.And, of course, also with Candida any sort of other digestive issues, like irritablebowel syndrome or chronic diarrhea or constipation
or even acid reflux, those are warning signsthat you might have Candida. And last but not least, is a sluggish metabolism.If you aren't losing weight and burning fat like you know you should be, those are warningsigns you could have Candida, along with actually even bad breath and lack of detoxification.Those are some major warning signs. So here are the six things you need to do to eliminateCandida fast. Number one, you need to stop consuming somuch sugar. Now, I know that's obvious. That's something that I think most of us realizeis that sugar feeds yeast in your body. But again, you have got to get rid of processedsugar, fruit juices, any sort of added sugar
to any sort of product sweetener. Even mostpackaged products and fast foods are also high in sugar. Even things like pasta saucesand crackers, you'd be surprised, but sugar is added to almost everything. So again, eliminate especially the processedsugar out of your diet. As a replacement, I recommend using a little bit of Stevia,which is a nocalorie natural sweetener and then about one to three teaspoons a day ofmanuka honey. Okay? Those are the sweeteners you should be using if you have Candida. Number two. You need to eliminate grains fromyour diet. Why? Because grains turn into sugar
and they also tend to be more inflammatory.And so again, getting those grains out of your diet, especially wheat products and glutencontaininggrains, that's step number two. Instead, do a lot more vegetables and maybe some starchycarbs. Number three thing you have to do to clearCandida from you system, is support your spleen. Now, this is cuttingedge information thata lot of people don't realize. And this is a practice in Ancient China that is oftenused by acupuncturists today. But they have found that the number one cause of Candidais a weakened spleen. And so if you have spleen issues, and spleen is responsible for digestionof the body, producing red blood cells in
your system. And so the spleen is a very importantorgan. In order to support the spleen, there area couple things you need to do. But really the spleen is supported by starchy foods,especially squash, things like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and also even doing certaintypes of beans like lentils and mung beans. So again, getting some of those good starchycarbs. And that's really where your sweetness shouldcome from. A little bit of butternut squash, acorn squash, foods like that that has thatmild sweetness. That's the only sweet you should be really getting in your diet. Again,with no processed sugar and, again, very low
Benefits of Activated Charcoal
Hey guys, Axe here, founder of DrAxe and of natural medicine. In this tutorial I'm going to share with you the four mainbenefits of activated charcoal. Activated charcoal, I think you're going to be surprisedwhen you hear about these four benefits and how it can be used on a regular basis or inemergency situations to even save somebody's life. Now for starters, activated charcoal, theway it works is it doesn't work by absorbing toxins like some things do. It works by adsorbingtoxins. What adsorption means is that activated charcoal has many pores within it, and activatedcharcoal itself is full of negatively charged
ions, and so what that does, it works likea magnet. Imagine this, you've activated charcoal goingthrough your bloodstream or through your gut. What it does is it starts to attract positiveelements. So heavy metals and certain toxins, it actually works like a magnet and they'reattracted to it. They bind to the outside of and bind to the activated charcoal itself.So for that reason that's where you're going to get most of the benefits of activated charcoalis through its ability to adsorb toxins within the body. For that reason, number one way it's usedtoday is through water filtration. If you've
got to filter water, activated carbon or activatedcharcoal is actually used for water filtration systems. So that's one of the things you'llsee. One of the second ways it's used today isthrough cleansing your body of mold. Mold today has a positive charge versus a negativecharge of activated carbon. So oftentimes what people will do is take the equivalentof three capsules three times a day of activated charcoal or a tablespoon three times a day,and that will bind to mold within your system and help your body excrete it. Now if you do decide to do a mold cleanseand take activated charcoal, you want to double
to triple your water intake, so typicallydrinking your weight in ounces of water a day. So if you weigh 180 pounds, you wantto drink about 180 ounces of water that day. So again drinking a lot of water down is importantbecause one of the side effects is it can cause constipation and cause you to back upif you're doing a large amount of activated charcoal or activated carbon as I'm talkingabout. So again, you do have to be careful for thatreason. But again it is amazing for cleansing your body of mold. Again, if you've ever beenin a moldy home or had a mold issue, using activated charcoal can work. But again it'snot something for that reason or in general
you want to use long term. Just for that shortperiod of time. The number three thing that you can use activatedcharcoal or activated carbon for is for general detoxification. As I mentioned earlier, itadsorbs the toxins. If you've been exposed to heavy metals, such as mercury or lead,it can be used that way. One of the things I've had many of my patientsdo in the past is I've worked with patients who've worked with mercury safe dentists andthey've gone and had their amalgam and silver fillings removed. Well, on that day I actuallyhave them do large doses of probiotics along with activated charcoal to make sure if anyof those vapors would somehow get in their
system, activated charcoal is there alongwith the probiotics to help bind to it and help eliminate it from their system. So again,for that reason through toxic adsorbtion is a great way that you can use it again justfor a short period of time, maybe a period of three days, one to three days using activatedcharcoal for that reason. And last but not least, according to a medicalstudy, activated charcoal is even more effective at helping your body eliminate things likealcohol poisoning and saving someone's life than pumping somebody's stomach. Coconut Oil Pulling Benefits and How to do Oil Pulling
Hey guys, Axe here. Today, I'm going toshow you how to do oil pulling, and this is something that's not just a hot, trendy thingright now. This has been done and had major benefitsfor thousands of years. It's used today in India and Asia all the time for your oralhealth. You may be wondering, well what exactly is oil pulling? Oil pulling is taking oil, typically sesameoil, olive oil, or coconut oil, and swishing it back and forth between your teeth. Thehealth benefits are it can actually help heal and cure tooth decay.
It's been shown to help heal bleeding gums.It's been shown to naturally whiten your teeth, strengthen your jaw muscles, and overall cleanseyour mouth and even support weight loss, some people claim. The truth is this, I was talking to a reallywell known dentist recently and he was telling me that, and this is true from all the medicalresearch, that the health of your mouth, the bacteria in your mouth, correlates with thehealth of the rest of your body. So by healing your mouth and improving youroral health you can actually improve the health of your entire body. In fact, periodontaldisease, or gingivitis or bad bacteria buildup
within your mouth, is an indicator that youare at higher risk of heart disease. Again, it's very, very important that you'recleansing not just your body but your oral cavity in your mouth on a regular basis. Thisis also a great thing to do to naturally freshen up your breath and give you a glowing smile. So here is how you're going to do oil pulling.You're basically going to take two teaspoons of, I like coconut oil. Now, I like coconutoil over other oils because it has antifungal and antimicrobial properties so it will killoff any of that bad bacteria that's in your mouth and also support the growth of goodbacteria.
So you're going to do two teaspoons in yourmouth. You're going to swish it inbetween your teeth. Don't overdo it. You'll make yourmouth sore. Lightly swish it inbetween your teeth for about 10 to 20 minutes. I'm notgoing to do that here on this tutorial, I'm going to do it for about 10 to 20 seconds, but typicallyyou want to do it 10 to 20 minutes. That may seem like a long time but if youdo it while you're in the shower, that's a great time to do it. That'll be five minutesalone. Even if you can do just that five minutes, it is still greatly beneficial. So do it while you're in the shower, do itwhile you're reading at night, you can do
it while you're just kind of getting readyin the morning. But doing oil pulling as I said, doesn't haveto be complicated, about 10 to 20 minutes. Afterwards, you're going to spit out the oilin a cup or in the trashcan and then after that you're going to rinse your mouth outwith water and then, finally, you're going to brush your teeth as normal. So I'm goingto demonstrate here how this would work. And again, you're going to first take here,I'm going to get a big loaded tablespoon or teaspoon here of coconut oil and I'm goingto put it in my mouth, kind of chew on it for a minute and then swish it. I'm goingto do it for about 20 seconds so I guess I'll
have to be quiet here. You can see me chewinghere. It'll melt within about 15 seconds. Now, I'm going to start to swish. Do that for 10 to 20 minutes, spit it out,and then the next thing you're going to do is get some water and swish this inbetweenyour teeth. Finally, you'll brush your teeth as normal. and I guarantee, do this even if it's justfive minutes, ideally 10 to 20, but your mouth will feel so clean. You're killing bad bacteria,you're whitening your teeth, you're getting fresher breath.
