How to Cure Candida in 6 Steps

Hey, guys. Axe here, of functionalmedicine and founder of DrAxe . Today I'm going to share with you the exact diet, treatmentand supplements you need to take the clear Candida from your body. And this is what Ireally consider to be my SixStep Candida Cure Diet Protocol. And you're going to seeamazing results with this protocol. And let me say this first, what is Candida?Candida is the overgrowth of yeast and bad bacteria in your body and it can cause somemajor symptoms that you want to get rid of. And so some of the symptoms of Candida caninclude any type of fatigue issue. If you struggle with chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue, those can be related to Candida.

Any type of leaky gut issue. Leaky gut isintestinal permeability, where proteins like gluten can leak through your gut and causeinflammation of your body. So if you have food sensitivities or if you have digestiveissues like gas and bloating, also if you have any problem related to the thyroid, thosecan be warning signs you have Candida. Also if you get yeast in your body. If younotice, let's say, yeast or whiteness on your tongue or if you ever get chronic yeast infectionsor coming down with the cold and flu often, those can be warning signs that you have Candida. And, of course, also with Candida any sort of other digestive issues, like irritablebowel syndrome or chronic diarrhea or constipation

or even acid reflux, those are warning signsthat you might have Candida. And last but not least, is a sluggish metabolism. If you aren't losing weight and burning fat like you know you should be, those are warningsigns you could have Candida, along with actually even bad breath and lack of detoxification. Those are some major warning signs. So here are the six things you need to do to eliminateCandida fast. Number one, you need to stop consuming somuch sugar. Now, I know that's obvious. That's something that I think most of us realizeis that sugar feeds yeast in your body. But again, you have got to get rid of processedsugar, fruit juices, any sort of added sugar

to any sort of product sweetener. Even mostpackaged products and fast foods are also high in sugar. Even things like pasta saucesand crackers, you'd be surprised, but sugar is added to almost everything. So again, eliminate especially the processedsugar out of your diet. As a replacement, I recommend using a little bit of Stevia, which is a nocalorie natural sweetener and then about one to three teaspoons a day ofmanuka honey. Okay? Those are the sweeteners you should be using if you have Candida. Number two. You need to eliminate grains fromyour diet. Why? Because grains turn into sugar

and they also tend to be more inflammatory. And so again, getting those grains out of your diet, especially wheat products and glutencontaininggrains, that's step number two. Instead, do a lot more vegetables and maybe some starchycarbs. Number three thing you have to do to clearCandida from you system, is support your spleen. Now, this is cuttingedge information thata lot of people don't realize. And this is a practice in Ancient China that is oftenused by acupuncturists today. But they have found that the number one cause of Candidais a weakened spleen. And so if you have spleen issues, and spleen is responsible for digestionof the body, producing red blood cells in

your system. And so the spleen is a very importantorgan. In order to support the spleen, there area couple things you need to do. But really the spleen is supported by starchy foods, especially squash, things like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and also even doing certaintypes of beans like lentils and mung beans. So again, getting some of those good starchycarbs. And that's really where your sweetness shouldcome from. A little bit of butternut squash, acorn squash, foods like that that has thatmild sweetness. That's the only sweet you should be really getting in your diet. Again, with no processed sugar and, again, very low

Why Does Candida Need Sugar

Good day, Eric Bakker, naturopath, authorof Candida Crusher. Doing a tutorial today on sugar and yeast infections on why Candidalike sugar, want sugar, and need sugar, and what you need to do about this if you wantto beat this thing permanently. So let's get one thing clear, Candida needssugar to thrive and survive and multiply. It loves glucose, fructose, and sucrose. Itloves those sugars. And, in fact, those sugars are indispensable to allow the yeast to forminto its filamentous form. We call yeast a dimorphic organism. It can change. You'veprobably read this in my book, Candida Crusher. It can change quite easily from a cellularform into a filamentous form with hyphae on

it, like lots of little strands on them. A lot of people falsely believe that thesestrands actually cause leaky gut syndrome. I don't believe that to be the case. Leakygut syndrome I'll do on other tutorials is caused by many other mechanisms and lifestyle habitsthat the person has. However, when a person has leaky gut, it's very easy for this yeastto translocate and get outside of the gut into various parts of the body. So yeast really needs sugars. And when youlook at your diet, your diet's loaded with sugar. Everybody eats sugar. The typical Americannow, we believe to have 30 teaspoons of sugar

a day. Thirty teaspoons, that's a lot of sugar!Sugar is in just about everything. A couple of common foods and drinks which contain sugaryou may not be aware of are sports drinks, yogurts, and pasta sauces. Of course, allice creams contain sugar. Chewing gum, toothpaste, lots of things now that you take into a dietcontain sugar. And the big, big, big enemy today is high fructose corn syrup, which isabout a third of the price of white sugar. It's crazy, but people put this stuff intoeverything these days. You want to carefully look at your diet and take out these formsof sugar. In particular, are those foods and beverages I mentioned because these are thethings that allow Candida to take off.

So when you restrict sugars in your diet, you're restricting the ability of yeast to grow, proliferate, and change into its morevirulent form. So it's very important for you, therefore, to restrict as many formsof sugar as you can. Alcohol, full of sugar. And you look at a lot of carbohydrate foods, which contain quite an amazing amount of sugar as well. And for this reason, for the firstfew weeks, I restrict the high starchy carbohydrates from people's diets. Sweet potatoes, potatoes, beets, these sorts of foods; they contain quite a bit of sugar. Pumpkin, squash, youthink about them. When people are restricted in their diet with carbohydrates, they generallyjump onto the high starchy carbohydrates.

And a lot of people love French fries, forexample, and chips and potatoes, and these are very starchy, sweet foods. So these needto be restricted. So it's very important for you to restrict sugars in your diet, particularlyfor the first three months, four months, if you really want to reduce the growth and spreadof Candida through the body. After that, we can liberalize it a bit more and slowly addsome more natural sugars back into the diet. But we first need to get the population undercontrol and stop the spread, and we need to stop the translocation and particularly thechanging from the normal cellular form into the fungal or the more virulent form of Candidawe spoke about.

So I hope this tutorial is of benefit for you.Come back and check out my other tutorial clips on high fructose corn syrup and other particularvegetable starches I'll be speaking about. How Long Is Candida Die Off Symptoms

Thank you for checking out this YouTube channeland thank you for tuning into this tutorial today. Heres a question Ive been asked from a ladyin Australia. How long is Candida die off? How long does it take for me to finally overcomethese dreadful feelings that Ive got a die off?Ive done a few tutorials on Candida die off and lets get one thing straight. Are you surethat its Candida die off? Are you sure its not something else? Many people I see andhave consultations with swear that theyre getting Candida die off, but in fact theyrenot getting that at all. Theyre getting a totally different reaction. Theyre gettinga detox reaction or theyre getting a reaction

to a change in diet or theyre getting a changein the way they feel because theyve withdrawn certain foods from the diet.So there are different reasons why you could be getting the feelings that youre getting, and you may misconstrue these feelings and believe that its actually what we call a HerxheimerReaction or a die off. True die off occurs when lots of Candida die and release theircontents into the digestive system. Not in the bloodstream. Youre not going to kill millionsof Candida in the bloodstream and theyre going to create a toxic reaction. Its usually alwaysin the gut. When that occurs, you can feel pretty sickand toxic. Normally, its going to last anywhere

between two days up to about 10 days. Generally,I would find five to seven days, and usually the first 24 to 72 hours are the most intenseand toxic experience, and then it will taper off, then youll feel fine again. How can you avoid die off? You can avoid die off with common sense like anything in life, but remember, Ive told you guys this before. Common sense isnt very common with a lot ofpeople out there who are treating for Candida. If youve got severe Candida, if youve gotmajor brain fog, if you feel spaced out and youve got joint pain and youre very sick, youre tired, youve got a lot of gut problems, then you need to be very careful when youstart on a course of treatment, particularly

a strong antifungal treatment. If you go tooquickly into something and take like a mega dose, there is a possibility youre going toset yourself up for a fall. Youre going to feel pretty crappy. What you want to do isgo into it nice and slowly, nice and gently. I look at the sensitivity of the patient.I mentioned before there are three types of patients I see. Theres the normal people likeme and you most probably. They account probably for about 75 to 80 percent of people, andthese people dont usually have violent reactions to things that they take. They can take Bvitamins. They can take fish oils. They can take multivitamins, vitamin C; they can takeall sorts of things. Theyre not allergic to

pharmaceuticals. They dont generally reactto things quickly. They can generally find that they wont usually experience die off,and if they do, its very mild. The people who experience die off the mostare the ones who are sensitive and particularly what I call the supersensitive. The supersensitiveare people that react to everything in life. They can take one vitamin C tablet and feelsick for two days. They can take a B vitamin and they can have like a bad headache or notsleep for two or three days. Theyve got known allergies and reactions to multiple foods, chemicals, drugs, all sorts of things. If you know that youre very, very sensitive, then you need to be very, very careful if

youve got Candida because youre the personmost likely to experience the strongest reaction when you go on the correct course of treatment. The regular patient will not experience this unless they do something dumb like take 50antifungal tablets in one day, which some people do, by the way. Ive had some patientstake 30 to 60, even 90 tablets per day thinking that theyre going to get rid of it fast. Theresno real benefit to that. All youre going to do is make yourself feel sick. How do you know youre not experiencing an aggravation in terms of your diet? How doyou know youre not experiencing a withdrawal from caffeine or another food? Many peoplewho start on an antiCandida approach make
