How to Cure Candida in 6 Steps
Hey, guys. Axe here, of functionalmedicine and founder of DrAxe . Today I'm going to share with you the exact diet, treatmentand supplements you need to take the clear Candida from your body. And this is what Ireally consider to be my SixStep Candida Cure Diet Protocol. And you're going to seeamazing results with this protocol. And let me say this first, what is Candida?Candida is the overgrowth of yeast and bad bacteria in your body and it can cause somemajor symptoms that you want to get rid of. And so some of the symptoms of Candida caninclude any type of fatigue issue. If you struggle with chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue,those can be related to Candida.
Any type of leaky gut issue. Leaky gut isintestinal permeability, where proteins like gluten can leak through your gut and causeinflammation of your body. So if you have food sensitivities or if you have digestiveissues like gas and bloating, also if you have any problem related to the thyroid, thosecan be warning signs you have Candida. Also if you get yeast in your body. If younotice, let's say, yeast or whiteness on your tongue or if you ever get chronic yeast infectionsor coming down with the cold and flu often, those can be warning signs that you have Candida.And, of course, also with Candida any sort of other digestive issues, like irritablebowel syndrome or chronic diarrhea or constipation
or even acid reflux, those are warning signsthat you might have Candida. And last but not least, is a sluggish metabolism.If you aren't losing weight and burning fat like you know you should be, those are warningsigns you could have Candida, along with actually even bad breath and lack of detoxification.Those are some major warning signs. So here are the six things you need to do to eliminateCandida fast. Number one, you need to stop consuming somuch sugar. Now, I know that's obvious. That's something that I think most of us realizeis that sugar feeds yeast in your body. But again, you have got to get rid of processedsugar, fruit juices, any sort of added sugar
to any sort of product sweetener. Even mostpackaged products and fast foods are also high in sugar. Even things like pasta saucesand crackers, you'd be surprised, but sugar is added to almost everything. So again, eliminate especially the processedsugar out of your diet. As a replacement, I recommend using a little bit of Stevia,which is a nocalorie natural sweetener and then about one to three teaspoons a day ofmanuka honey. Okay? Those are the sweeteners you should be using if you have Candida. Number two. You need to eliminate grains fromyour diet. Why? Because grains turn into sugar
and they also tend to be more inflammatory.And so again, getting those grains out of your diet, especially wheat products and glutencontaininggrains, that's step number two. Instead, do a lot more vegetables and maybe some starchycarbs. Number three thing you have to do to clearCandida from you system, is support your spleen. Now, this is cuttingedge information thata lot of people don't realize. And this is a practice in Ancient China that is oftenused by acupuncturists today. But they have found that the number one cause of Candidais a weakened spleen. And so if you have spleen issues, and spleen is responsible for digestionof the body, producing red blood cells in
your system. And so the spleen is a very importantorgan. In order to support the spleen, there area couple things you need to do. But really the spleen is supported by starchy foods,especially squash, things like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and also even doing certaintypes of beans like lentils and mung beans. So again, getting some of those good starchycarbs. And that's really where your sweetness shouldcome from. A little bit of butternut squash, acorn squash, foods like that that has thatmild sweetness. This time we're going to talkabout garlic; about the benefits of garlic as a Candida crushing food. So this is tutorialnumber one in terms of the Candida crushing foods. Garlic would have to be one of my number onefavorite foods to get a person to incorporate into their diet if they want to crush Candida.Garlic, along with other alliumcontaining vegetables, such as red and brown onions,spring onions, shallots, leaks; these foods are very good to fight a yeast infection.And, in fact, I've written in my book that
I believe that when I can finally convincethe person to incorporate these foods into their diet on a regular basis, is when they'reluck begins to turn in terms of eradicating the yeast infection. So garlic has been used as a food now forapproximately 7,000 years. The Egyptians used garlic. The Greeks used a lot of garlic. Alot of people think garlic was used to flavor foods, but in fact, it wasn't. And like Oregano,garlic was originally incorporated into the diet to help to wipe out microbes, parasites,bacteria and yeast. People didn't know what those bugs were back then, but they did knowthat when they ate those foods, it made them
feel a lot better. So, we'll talk a lot moreabout Oregano and then a Mediterranean connection there with microbial inhibition as well inanother tutorial. Garlic is an interesting vegetable and iscertainly one of my favorites. I tend to eat quite a lot of garlic in my diet. It has verypowerful activities. Research, I think it was in 1979 at the Indiana University in America,showed very strong antifungal activity with garlic over many different strains of yeast.Research has also shown in 2000, not that long ago, that garlic, in fact, is just aspowerful as Ketoconazole or Nystatin when it comes to eradicating yeast. So you don'tneed to take these drugs; you just need to
incorporate garlic into your diet. So there are two particularly strong componentsof garlic which have this activity, allicin and alanine. Allicin seems to be quite strongand Alanine seems to be quite strong. And there are a lot of arguments as to which oneis stronger than the other. I've also read a lot of research saying that when you cutfresh garlic, the content of these oils tends to increase and then decrease. It makes moresense to have this stuff fresh in your diet. So what I like people to do with a yeast infectionis to start off with just a small clove every day like I've got here. You can see this cloveis not peeled. So what I've done is I've peeled
a clove here; I've just crushed it and thenwhat you can do is just crush a small clove. And when you crush it, it will generally breakopen and fall apart anyway like this one has. And you can just swallow it like a capsuleor a tablet. Good to have this with a proteincontaining meal. A bigger clove you can cut up in piecesand incorporate in your food and eat it or you can crush the juice out of it and mixthat in with a salad or salad dressing. There are many ways you can use raw garlic. Crushit, get the oil out of it, mix it with a little bit of oil like Olive oil, rub it on yourtoenails. You can drop garlic juice directly on a nail. I know a lot of women who makegarlic tampons. They actually thread the garlic
which they've peeled on a piece of stringand insert that and leave that in for several hours. So there are many ways you can incorporategarlic into a diet. And I've written extensively on garlic in Candida Crusher, Chapter 7, Section4, you can read a lot more about it. So tablets, capsules or fresh, what shouldI do? I think you should do fresh and I also think you should also do cooked and incorporategarlic into your supplement, into your antifungal regime as well. Something with a small percentagethere of an active ingredient usually will be okay. Try and incorporate garlic in yourdiet on a regular basis. So I hope that answers some of your questionson garlic.
