Candida Diet Weight Loss Help Im Losing Too Much Weight On The Candida Diet
Hi there. It's New Zealand naturopath, EricBakker. I'm author of a book called Candida Crusher and also the formulator of the Canxidarange of dietary supplements. Thanks for checking out my tutorial today. I've got a question herefrom a guy called George Everly in New Jersey in the USA. George is asking me a questionin a quite a long email quot; How can I stop losing weight on the Candida diet? How can I gainweight?quot; George is quite a slim guy. He's only about 110 pounds and he's not reallythat tall. He's about 5 foot 812 inches, so he's a reasonably tall guy, but he doesn'treally weigh a lot. George, the interesting thing that you needto bear in mind when you're on the Candida
diet is you can eat carbohydrates and youcan eat proteins. You can eat fats. You can eat a whole range of different foods. Youdon't have to lose a whole lot of weight. If you're losing weight, it tells me basically(a) you're not eating enough foods, (b) you're not eating the right kind of foods to maintainthe weight, or (c) you're exercising or doing too much. You're basically burning up yourcalories and not putting enough calories in there. Also bear in mind that people with yeast infections and digestive problems who are unwell generallycan often have a slightly higher metabolic rate, so they can be hungrier, be burningup more food, and then be very scared and
cautious about the kind of foods they do consumebecause they could aggravate their gut and cause a lot of problems. This is somethingI typically see with Candida. That people start reading all these diets on specificcarbohydrate eliminations and gut psychology diets and bodycology diets, all these kindof diets they read and they start thinking that they've got to exclude all carbohydratesfrom their diet. They just have a pure Paleo approach, so they basically stick with meatsand vegetables. That's a pretty boring silly diet. To me, it's not really a diet that'ssustainable. You can't keep maintaining diets like that.I noticed a long time ago in the 80s that
when patients went on very strict kinds ofAtkins induction dietary approaches that they felt really good for the first few days ora week and then they felt like crap after that. They felt sick. They got blocked up.They got constipated. They didn't feel well at all. It's no good to be too strict withany kind of dietary approach for too long. So let's talk about the different kinds ofcarbohydrates you can include in your diet with Candida, and if you're scared about consumingthese kinds of carbohydrates. The advice I'm going to give you now, George,is not going to specifically relate to your case because I haven't seen you as a patient.I don't know all the details around your case,
so it's just general information. When I seepeople on Skype or FaceTime on the computer from around the world, I listen very carefullywhat they've got to say and I can give highly specific advice for their needs. Remember, just bear it in mind. These carbs can really range from person to person quite wildly.I've never found brown rice a problem on the Candida diet, particularly if people startwith small amounts of brown rice. We're talking very small amounts. It could be an ounce. It could be like a tablespoon if they're quite suspicious about that food. And they can addit to things like steamed vegetables or casserole dishes or different kinds of meals that they'reeating and they shouldn't have a problem.
Point number one. Write this down. If you'regoing to start a new carbohydrate in your diet or you haven't consumed it for some time, start with very small amounts. That's because the bacteria in your gut, whether they'recommensals, bacteria in transition from good to bad, or whether they're beneficials orlack of beneficials or whether they're bad bacteria or whether they're Candida in small, moderate or large amounts. We don't know what you've got in your gut. We don't know howthese bugs are going to handle a huge influx of this new carbohydrate. Be very carefulwhen you start a new carb not to go crazy with it and have like two or three portionsa day. Test the water to see how you're going
The Candida Crusher Diet May Cause Weight Loss
Greetings. It's New Zealand naturopath, EricBakker, author of Candida Crusher. Thanks for tuning in. I'm going to talk about weightloss today and the Candida Crusher diet. So I've had a few emails from patients andalso spoken to patients during consultation time that they're concerned that they've lostweight when they're on the Candida Crusher diet approach. That's a worry for some peoplelosing too much weight. Now for a lot of people watching this, they'llbe thinking, quot;Wow, that's what I want! Weight loss.quot; Now when you think about it, the idealbody fat composition for males can be anywhere from 10 to 15 percent and women 15 to 18 percent,I'd say on average. And lots of us just carry
too much body fat. If you don't really domuch exercise, especially when you get to your 50s like me, you can easily replace muscletissue for body fat. And as you increase body fat, you get more tired. You're going to cravemore sweet foods, and so the weight merrygoround continues. You just get fatter and fatter, like a lot of us are too fat, way too fat. If you look at obesity now in the U.S. andAustralian and New Zealand and many other countries, half the population almost areobese. So if we look at the foods that make us fat, these are often the foods that giveand maintain Candida in people for years on end. These are the sweet foods, the carbohydrates. These are the foods that people love to eat,
cookies, cakes, biscuits, breads, candies, ice cream, all these sorts of foods that people really like to eat. These are the ones thatwill help and encourage a Candida yeast infection to thrive in the body. So by cutting thesefoods out, we're not only going to help reduce our incidence of Candida in our body and allsorts of intestinal bowel overgrowths or bad bacteria, we're also going to lose weight.Isn't that wonderful to be able to lose weight, maintain good bowel function, and get ridof Candida all at the same time? This is what the Paleo diet is all about. The Paleo diet is all about high protein and low carb. This is what the GAPS diet's allabout. This is what all of these diets are
all about, and I've been talking like thisfor 25 years. This is the right kind of way to eat without even like devising a particularkind of diet. I'm not a diet kind of person. I really believe that the best approach isfor people looking at the kind of foods that they like to eat and picking out the healthiestfoods of the ones they desire. It's important for you to bear that in mindthat some foods you like, I don't like or another person doesn't like, so devising avery rigid diet for a person or for a lot of people in general doesn't work. Becausemost people will gravitate back to the foods that they like to eat the most. Well, I cantell you now, the sweet foods are the ones
that are going to help you maintain Candida, particularly if you have a high stress lifestyle, taking pharmaceutical drugs, and eating atweird hours and eating incorrectly, not chewing food properly, these sorts of things.I've written about this at length in my book, Candida Crusher. You can read all about this.Think about it. Weight loss. No Candida. Reducing your risk of the top three, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, can all be achieved with this Candida Crusher approach. Meat, eggs, vegetables and yogurt or the MEVY diet, which has been around now for about 30 or 40 years. It's a great way to eat. But I don't really like to call it a diet. To me, it's commonsense. Eating healthy is common sense. It's
simple. It's common sense.Check out yeastinfection and also please don't forget to have a look at Canxida for the best Candida dietary supplements. Do my yeast infection survey to see if you'remild, moderate, or severe and you'll see that at CandidaCrusher .Thanks for tuning in.
