Does Candida Cause Acne Rosacea
Greetings. New Zealand naturopath, Eric Bakker.Author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of supplements. Thanks forchecking out my tutorial. Question here by Pasqual from Quebec, Canada. Pasqual's asking me,quot;Eric, does Candida cause acne rosacea?quot; Pasqual, there is definitely a link between Candidaand acne rosacea. That's been proven now. I've looked at many different kinds of studiesfrom PubMed, InBase, and CINAHL, and I've had a really good look through different databasesonline after I got your email. Also, in Singapore, there is a skin there where they'vefound a very clearcut link between the gut microbiota to cleaning up the gut with patientsand the skin. I've noticed this in my
now for probably over 20 years. I've treatedover a thousand cases of psoriasis successfully, but I also treat a lot of acne rosacea andmany other different kinds of skin conditions. There is a huge link between the gut and theskin. A very interesting case I recently had wasa male patient from Portugal, a 38yearold male with seriously bad acne rosacea. Basically,I didn't even look at the skin. I just treated the gut and we had an outstanding result.We found that this guy had incredible amounts of Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, andalso Blastocystis hominis. And once we cleared up these things and we found that with preand post stool testing, we had an incredibly
high success rate with eradication, the skinentirely cleared up. He's a very lovely man and now he excitedly Skyped me recently. Hesaid, quot;I've now got a girlfriend. I've got a Swedish girlfriend. I'm so excited.quot; I don'tknow if you've seen how bad acne rosacea can get. When you've got bad acne rosacea, you'vegot no selfconfidence. For this guy after 10 or 15 years to get his skin finally clearedup, his confidence was like in overdrive and he was so excited to tell me all about hisgirlfriend. How did this association occur? Well, in Singaporeat the Dermo what they found out was that Candida could actually produce differentkinds of chemicals that upregulate or stimulate
the production of inflammatory cytokines.So what that means in normal English is Candida can stir the hell out of the immune systemand the immune system, in turn, then can create chemicals that can create dilation of theskin, the blood vessels, flushing, redness, irritation, infections, all kinds of thingscan occur. There is certainly a link there. If anyone is watching this who has got acnerosacea, my strong advice for you is (A) improve the upper digestion because many people withacne rosacea have got hypochlorhydria or underactive stomach, (B) ensure that the pancreas is workingproperly and it will work better when the stomach is working better, (C) make sure thatyou've cleared up food allergies or food intolerances.
Sometimes it's worthwhile doing an ELISA test,so an IgG, IgE food allergy test. The best one, I think, is from US Biotech in Seattle.It's s serum test, (D) if you've got a really bad problem like my patient in Portugal, geta proper stool test done, a comprehensive one to assess what kind of bugs you've gotin the gut. So then, we can go about cleaning up the gut and (E) kick back and enjoy life.Because if you do all of those things properly, there is a big chance we can clear up theacne rosacea profoundly and you can lead a relatively normal life with a good amountof selfesteem. I hope that answers your question, Pasqual.In my opinion, there is a massive link between
acne rosacea and a yeast infection. Don'tforget, while I've got your attention, to please subscribe to my channel. Check outmy 1,000+ articles at yeastinfection and make sure you do my quiz. Can Betaine HCL Treat Candida Yeast Infections
Greetings. Naturopath Eric Bakker from NewZealand. Author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of products. I've gota question here from Claudevia Sameen from Kiev, Ukraine. Claudivia is asking me, quot;CanBetaine HCL treat Candida?quot; So betaine hydrochloride. Betaine is really a supplement; trimethylglycineis a supplement that we use for improving stomach acidity. It's commonly thought thatmany people who get reflux disease and heartburn have over acid production and, in fact, manyhave under acid production. It's a very common assumption that heartburn is caused by overacidity and it's spawned a whole huge industry, particularly in North America in the UnitedStates. It's almost a $10 billion US dollar
industry with one drug called Nexium alonenetting over $6 billion last year. Stomach acid is very important. It's a veryimportant part of good health for people. A very important part. And when we start blockingstomach acid with medications, we create a huge amount of problem with people. I've doneanother tutorial on Nexium that you can watch, and that explains a little bit more aboutthe different kinds of medications, the acid blockers, we've got different kinds, two differenttypes we use, and their effect on human health. A study has found that over 70 percent ofpeople who take these acidblocking medications have got, in fact, a yeast infection. By increasingstomach acidity rather than decreasing it,
we're going to have a good effect on improvingnot just the stomach function in general, but we're also going to prevent the body fromgaining the ability to get these infections. So you're more prone to getting a yeast infectionor small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, what we call SIBO, if you've got a higherpH of the stomach, so a more alkaline stomach rather than a more acidforming stomach.A good way to take betaine hydrochloride, Jonathan Wright in the States, very famous years ago recommended people start with 300 to 500 mg of betaine HCL as a supplement.Take it with a meal one capsule and then with each succeeding meal, increase by one doseuntil you reach your what we call quot;tummy tolerance.quot;
If you start feeling a bit of reflux or heartburnbehind the sternum here, you back off and you work under that threshold. I've had somepatients honestly take 20 or 30 of these capsules a day until they reach their stomach's aciditylevel. And then over a period of a week or two, they had to back off and use lower andlower dosages. This is called the quot;tummy tolerancequot; method and it works quite well for a lot ofpeople. If you've quite serious heartburn, you could try a little bit of betaine, a littlebit of lemon juice or cider vinegar may help, too, or a bit of betaine. If you've got Candida,make sure that you take a digestive enzyme that contains a bit of betaine.Check out my products called Canxida Restore.
That's got digestive enzymes in it, alongwith some probiotics. Probiotics, in fact, improve the upper level of the stomach's health,and antibiotics are linked, in fact, with people taking these acid blocking medications.Because what we found is that when many people take an antibiotic, they, in fact, destroythe beneficial flora in the stomach. And yes, there are beneficial bacteria there, too,and right throughout the digestive tract. This, in turn, can create reflux disease andproblems requiring a drug like Zantac or Tagamet or Prevacid or Nexium, one of those drugs.So if you require one of these drugs, have you taken an antibiotic in the past? Maybeyou just need to take a good probiotic enzyme
formula to build that health back up again.That's a bit of a longwinded reply there for Claudivia in Kiev, Ukraine. I hope thatanswers your question Claudivia. Don't forget to do my online quiz at yeastinfection to determine what kind of level of severity of Candida you've got. Thanks for tuning in.
