Candida Case Study 2 Susan Chronic Headaches and Sinusitis

Thanks for checking out my case history numbertwo. We're going to talk about a patient called Susan, a 'yearold patient. Susan is nother real name of course. It's a real case, but the name was changed to protect the patient'sidentity. This is an Australian patient I saw not that long ago. I'm just going to readout of my book. Susan is an Australian lady who visited ourpractice several years ago complaining of a number of chronic health problems and hadbeen plagued with for over 20 years. Many of Susan's health issues are typical of someof the al complaints that people have when they endure chronic and generalized yeastinfections. This lady suffered from sinus

and hay fever all her life and was takingmany different pharmaceutical drugs for her allergies, but has kept changing them becausethey are very temporary relief. Usually, antihistamines and drugs like that, antibiotics or antidrugs. She had learned to live with a stuffy or perpetualblocked nostril, postnasal drip, sneezing, itching upper pallet, sore throats and darkcircles under the eyes. She also suffered from the worst headaches imaginable sinceshe was 16, at times like a nail piercing her skull as she described them. These headacheswere typically worse four days before her period.Susan went to a about five years ago

complaining of the headaches from hell, andhe referred her to a neurologist who concluded after an ECG, brain scan, that all was welland the headaches were caused by stress and tension and to take analgesics. Several hundreddollars later and none the wiser, the patient was given hundreds of tablets of acetaminophenand various other drugs like ibuprofen to take and basically just left on these drugs. When Susan was in her late 20s, she started to become more aware of the fluid retentionshe was suffering from, including huge weight gain since her teens, over 150 pound weightgain. After eating a carbohydrate rich meal, she would bloat, retain a lot of fluid, andgain a lot of weight. As much as eight pounds

of fluid could be gained within a matter ofa few days. Her told her it's become of salt, so she excluded all salt from thediet only to find it made no difference at all. What she did notice, however, was thather fluid retention was a lot worse before her menstrual cycle and also it coincidedwith a lot of depression, which is probably an estrogen dominance that we commonly see. This lady was placed on the Candida Crusher program. It had significant improvement withthis patient. She was eating all the wrong kind of foods. She was living in a very stressfulrelationship. She had a terrible job that she didn't like. Typical case, again, wherewe see an unhappy person, the wrong kind of

foods, poor lifestyle habits, loads of pharmaceuticaldrugs, all the tests and scans come back completely normal, so therefore the patient must be crazy. They basically get bounced from one to a naturopath to a chiropractor, all overthe place, and that's often when I end up seeing these sorts of people. Many women I see with Candida have got terrible headaches, sinus problems, ear, nose or throatcongestion, often one nostril will be blocked, they could have facial pain, many of thesethings are compounded by severe intestinal Candida, and lots of these patients also havevaginal thrush. When they go to the , they basically get put on a multitude of differentpharmaceutical medications. And, of course,

their lifestyle isn't changed. Their dietisn't changed. Their symptoms continue on and as they age, their health breaks downfurther and further. What can we learn from Susan's case? What we can learn here is obviously big changes need to be made. And I implement those changesslowly over a period usually of two to three months, so the longer a patient has been unwell, the slower I make the changes. I prefer to have people make positive changes over a prolongedperiod of time if they're going to be adopted as permanent lifestyle habits. That's howyou not only get well, but maintain wellness, is by making those changes long term, permanent. This is why most diets are a crock and why

Are Sinus Infections Related To Candiida Yeast Infections

Hi There. It's New Zealand naturopath, EricBakker. I'm the author of a book called Candida Crusher and I'm the formulator of a rangeof products called Canxida. Thanks for checking out this tutorial today. I've got a questionhere from a lady called Jill Wence from San Bernardino. San Bernardino sounds like somewherein Italy, but I think it's in California somewhere. A lot of San places like San Jose in California.Jill is asking me the question, quot;Eric, are sinus infections related to yeast?quot; This is a great question, Jill, and something I can certainly talk to you about. There isdefinitely a link between sinus infections, particularly chronic sinus infections, andCandida. Acute sinus infections are more often

than not bacterial, but the chronic ones oftenhave a relationship with what we call AFS or allergic fungal sinusitis.Let's talk a little bit about sinusitis in general. sinusitis is a condition that hugeamounts of patients have contacted me for over the years. I think the Mayo didsome research with a group of about 210 patients and they found that 96 percent of these peoplethey could culture three or more strains of a yeast from the mucous of 96 percent of 210people. That's a lot of people and a lot of different kinds of fungal strains. There isdefinitely a relationship there with the fungus and chronic sinusitis. And of course, if yougo the Web MD or a website like that, the

first kind of treatment they're going to recommendis antibiotics, which is pretty dumb because antibiotics will make you more susceptibleto getting Candida. Many of my patients with chronic sinusitis have had one or more roundsof antibiotics. That's a pretty dumb thing to do is actually take an antibiotic for sinusitis. If you've got chronic sinusitis, don't take an antibiotic because you'll just make surethat it stays longer and the yeast strains become more virile. There are different ways you can treat yourself with sinus infections, but probably one ofthe most important things you can do is to look at a Candida cleansing approach likethe Candida Crusher diet, the threestage

diet. That's going to help you significantly. And also look at different kinds of products that are going to help you, a good antifungal,a good probiotic enzyme, so check out my website Canxida . That will give you some ideaon the kind of things that I make. But you can really help yourself a lot overcomingchronic sinusitis by strengthening your immune system and by using essential oils, changingyour diet. There are many different things that you can do. Check out yeastinfection .There is some good information on there as well about sinusitis and yeast infection.Treating yourself locally is important and the best way to get over a chronic sinus infectionis to holistically look at diet and lifestyle

and some supplements and using some essentialoils. Another suggestion I give patients often is using a neti pot or using a situation,it could be a plastic bottle you could get from the chemist with a little silicone tipto squirt water up the nose, suck it in and spit it out the back of the throat. You canget little ideated? pots that will do that with saline rinses. They will help to a degree, too. When you have got chronic sinusitis, you needto make significant diet changes. We certainly take out all the allergy forming foods fromsomeone's diet, particularly cow's milk and dairy products, alcohol, chocolate, peanuts, oranges, bananas, those are some of the key

foods we remove and we make sure that thehouse is well ventilated and that the patient is living in a mold free environment. Manypeople have got mold in their environment and that can create a big problem for a recurringallergic fungal sinusitis. The other tip I'll give you with chronic sinusitisor recurring is to get your teeth checked out in case you've got root canals or problemson the upper teeth that can affect the maxillary sinus and cause a recurring chronic sinusitis, which I myself suffered from for seven years until I had a root canal, a tooth removedand the sinusitis disappeared within 14 days. That could be another one of the causes ofchronic sinusitis.
