What Is The Difference Between A Yeast Infection And An STD
Good day, Eric Bakker, naturopath, authorof Candida Crusher with another frequently asked question. What is the difference between a yeast infectionand an STD? An STD is a sexually transmitted disease.Well, there are quite a few differences between both of these problems. An STD is generallya disease transmitted between two people through sexual contact: oral sex, anal sex, straightsex, whatever sex you want to call it. Sometimes in rare cases, STDs can be transferred throughneedle sharing, although in more rare situations. Yeast infections can be sexually transmitted.Don't ever doubt that. But everybody will
contain in their bodies, in the digestivesystem, females in the vaginal area they will have yeast to some degree. And it's when theseyeast get out of hand that you're going to get an infection. Particularly, when theyproliferate or if they're exacerbated through antibiotic use, which is a very common causeof yeast infections, is taking antibiotics. So there is a difference between a yeast infectionand an STD, but STDs are not yeast infections, generally, in terms of only being transmittedsexually, where sexually transmitted diseases are transmitted sexually like Chlamydia andGonorrhea and Syphilis. These diseases are transmitted through the sexual route.
You can read a lot more about the differenttypes of STDs in my book. In fact, I've drawn you a big diagram showing you all the differentsexually transmitted diseases, the discharge, the irritation, whether they itch, what odorsthey have, and I've compared those with a yeast infection to give you a good comparison. A very common thing that many women have isbacterial vaginosis, which they confuse for a yeast infection. So it's good for you toknow the difference between a yeast infection and Chlamydia, for example, or Gonorrhea becausethese diseases do resurface from time and time again.
Is there a difference? Yes, there is a differencebetween them both. But a yeast infection can be transmitted sexually, but is not a sexuallytransmitted disease per se. So I hope that answers your question. Thankyou.
How Can I Get Instant Relief Form Vaginal Yeast Infections
Good day there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, authorof Candida Crusher. Here's a question I've got from a lady inTexas, a Mrs. Wright from Texas. And her question is Eric, how can I get instant relief fromvaginal thrush? Well, there are a couple of tricks and tipsI'll give you in this tutorial that are certainly going to help you. Many woman complain ofvaginal thrush three to four days prior to their period. You can have vaginal thrushat any time during your menstrual cycle, but it's more prevalent before the cycle. Andif you're a female and you have recurring vaginal yeast infections, you can probablywell relate to what I'm saying here. So if
you think about this for a moment, there'sa couple of things I'm going to tell you that make a lot of sense and I'd like you to followthese suggestions. Leading up to the period, about a week or10 days prior, why don't you start reducing consumption of alcohol, chocolate, sweet foods, candies, biscuits or cookies, things like this, or cut those foods out of the diet asmuch as you can. Make some changes. Get more rest. Drink plenty of water. Maybe have somegreen juice in your diet. Start making some changes also to the way that you work andyou relax. So sleep a little bit more, rest up a bit more, take it a bit easier in yourlife. These things are going to make it easier
for you to cope with if you do get any aggravations. When it comes to the treatment, it's alsogood for you to maybe avoid sexual relations for a little while prior to your period aswell because this could irritate the area and make you much more prone to having thevaginal thrush. If you look at these sort of factors, this is going to reduce the aggravation, which means that there will be less need for strong treatment. There are different cleansing approaches youcan use. And one I'd like to recommend you try is to get some Calendula tincture. SoCalendula officinalis is an herb which we
use, an antifungal, and I think it works verywell indeed. And I've written about this in my book in Chapter 5 in Candida Crusher writtenabout Calendula. Go to your herbalist and get a low alcohol concentration Calendulatincture, a high quality one, and use it at the rate of about a dessertspoon per smallbowl of lukewarm water for cleansing. This is going to work quite nicely before the period. So women tell me these things work quite well.Others are colloidal silver, adding a teaspoon of this per small quantity of water for cleansing;a good quality apple cider vinegar, not the commercial one, but a good organic pasteurizedproduct like Braggs is a good quality, for
example, or try the Calendula tincture. Theseare good approaches to use premenstrually. In my book, I talk about a cleansing stageyou do before the period, a kill stage, and then a build stage after the period. And thismakes a lot of sense. And if you do that for three menstrual cycles in a row, you're goingto get good relief, particularly if you follow the instructions in my book Chapter 7, Section5, the lifestyle section. If you read that and implement that plus also do the acutemeasures that we spoke about, you're going to get a lot of relief. When it comes to the chronic treatment, Iwant you to read Chapter 5 of my book. There's
some very good solutions, and I've got anexcellent solution which I've used for thousands of women now with much success. You can readall about that in Chapter 5. So I hope that answers your question. Thankyou.
