The Candida Spit Test MYTH 11
The Candida Spit Test – MYTH 11Hi, I'm Jeff McCombs, developer of the McCombs AntiCandida Plan for Health, Vitality,and Transformation. Today, I'd like to spend a little time with you and discuss the Candidaspit test. The Candida spit test was promoted as a marketing tool in the mid 90s by a multilevelmarketing company that sold an antiCandida product. It was promoted as a fast, easy,reliable test for people to perform in their homes to validate that they had a fungal Candidainfection. I'd like to explain to you a little bit why that is not a valid test andgive you some more information behind valid testing.To perform the test, you take a glass of water,
first thing in the morning, and spit intoit. If the spit or mucus forms legs, little extensions down into the water, this is asign, supposedly, that you have a Candida infection. Of course, this doesn't differentiatebetween a Candida yeast or a Candida fungal infection. But the truth of the matter isthere are many things which can cause the mucus to thicken to such an extent that itwould form these legs down into the water. A common one is dehydration. Now, if you'vebeen sleeping all night, and your mouth is closed, you haven't been drinking water.When you wake up in the morning, you're gonna be a little dehydrated, so the mucuswill be thicker and form these strands, or
legs, into the water.Other things that can cause the same thickening of the mucus could be airborne allergies,food allergies. You could have a virus, bacteria, yeast, mold, fungal infection, or parasiteinfection. Cold weather can also cause thickening of the mucus, and anybody who has lived ina cold climate can attest to that. Weather changes can also cause thickening of the mucus.So there are a lot of things that can cause thickening of the mucus.If you consider the body burden that most Americans and most people around the worldhold in terms of toxin, there are generally over 1000 different toxins that are in thebody at any time. Each and any one of these
can cause the mucus to thicken. So when we'redoing a Candida spit test, we're not testing for anything, specifically, because thickenedmucus can be a general indicator of many different types of allergic reactions or responses bythe body and its immune system. If you want to do a saliva test, you would do a salivaantibody test. This is a valid test that's performed at a lab. Laboratories like BioHealthDiagnostics, Genova Diagnostics, Diagnostics Labs will perform saliva antibody tests.An antibody is a protein that is produced by our bodies' white cells in response toa substance that is nonhuman, or nonself. This is a way that the body uses to identifythat substance again should reexposure occur
later on.Other valid tests would be blood tests, stool tests, direct cultures of blood or stool oranother tissue. Metametrix Labs does PCR testing, which is a genetic testing that can be withthe stool or blood. Great Plains Laboratories does organic acid testing. This is testingof byproducts of cellular metabolism from Candida. These are all different tests thatcan be performed to evaluate whether or not you have a systemic fungal Candida infection.© Copyright 20102011, All Rights Reserved, Jeffrey S. McCombs, DC Page 86 of 130The best way to use this information is to use several tests in conjunction with eachother, along with a case history, present
signs and symptoms, past history of antibioticuse, and whether or not you've done a Candida protocol and whether it's produced goodresults for you. If you take all this information, combine it together, you're going to geta clearer picture of whether or not you have a Candida infection.I hope you have found this information to be helpful. Candida Are You Suffering From Yeast
gt;gt; So there's really no way to kill yeastand candida quickly, just. gt;gt; Well, you have to understand what you have. gt;gt; Yeah. gt;gt; If you have mild symptoms, and it's onlyin your digestive tract it's easy. You do the basics on the diet for 6 weeks, it's gone. You just keep a little bit of this fed inyour system in the fridge even if you do eat a little sugar here and there it reallydoesn't come back. Now, if you took antibiotics on and off forten years like I did, and you know it gets
in the gut, and it stays there and you livewith it and you don't know it, and then it starts getting systemic. But you're you know,and you're strong, and you keep going, and you're conquering your life. And you're living with all these symptoms they're small and you don't realize it. And you social drink a bit, which I did backin those days. The social drinking with antibiotics together and you're eating sugar thatwas the biggest nono. Eventually, the yeast starts to get systemic.But it doesn't do it over night, so it's very obvious to you what's happening, so you knowwhat to do about it.
It's not like that. It does it slow; it sneaks up on you. You know first you just notice that maybein a year or two period, you notice that you just don't have the urge to excercise thesame. And then maybe you notice your eyesight changesa little bit, at distances, or up close for reading depends on the person. You're like, quot;You know my eyes are changing.Well, I'm getting a little olderquot;. And you just
And then the next year you start noticinga little more allergies. Maybe you just get an anal itch, or maybe you get a yeast infectiona little more often than you should. Or a sinus infection, or a UTI. Then you think, quot;Well that's normal peopleget that. I could take something for that.quot; But it comes back. It seems to recur. Or astrept throat thing. And then, you start noticing random boutsof diahrrea or constipation for no rhyme or reason. And you're wondering, quot;Well, I must've atesomething I must've ate something.quot;
You know, and then you start noticing, ittakes me longer to do everything during the day. I sleep in longer, I'm going up slow,I have a slight fog at times, or a numbness. And you start getting to the brain fog stage you're living with systemic candida. There's billions of yeast living in your body247. And you're a fungal farm. You're carrying it and you're walking with it. And then your consiousness if affecting you.So you start noticing that you get lowgrade depression. It's like a spark inside you that's you andit knows you can achieve everything you want
to achieve. But you feel like you're swarmed around withthis mass of despondent, kindofataloss, sort of negativity. Where you're just in a complete funk. Andyou're not inspired. You're not happy. And you're sort of depressed. You don't know whatto do. A lot of times people, they'll turn to thesugar as their relationship. They'll get their ice cream, or their littlecandy. There's ice cream sandwiches, and they're sitting at the TV.
