Is Acidophilus Good For Candida
Greetings. It's Eric Bakker, naturopath fromNew Zealand, author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of dietarysupplements. Thanks for checking out this tutorial today. Today, we're going to talk aboutacidophilus, lactobacillus acidophilus, in particular, a very beneficial strain of bacteria.I've got an email here from a guy called Mark in Ontario, Canada, asking me if lactobacillusis good for Candida in general. It's very, very good using lactobacillus, Mark. It's a very good idea to use a probiotic when you have got a yeast infection. Beneficialbacteria are one of our most powerful defense mechanisms in terms of keeping our gut inbalance, in really good shape. And there are
different strains of beneficial bacteria thatwe're not really going to go into on this tutorial, but I think that including a fermentedand cultured food is a very clever idea to incorporate into your diet on a regular basis. But even more important is to take good probiotics at least once, if not twice, per day on anextended basis to help to repopulate your gut with very beneficial bacteria.Candida are normally occurring organisms in the digestive system of many people and alsoin the vaginal area of women. Some estimates are 20 to 30 percent of women have this normallyoccurring and a lot of men have got Candida growing in different parts of their body aswell, which is a normal organism. But however,
it's when the balance becomes tipped. Whenthe Candida gain the upper hand and they really take off. That's when we start to get problems. You could liken the lactobacillus species to being like the police of the digestivesystem. They will keep the bad guys in check. They secrete various kinds of chemicals todo that. They produce something called hydrogen peroxide and they secrete acidophilin anddifferent chemicals with funny names that help to keep these bad guys around them ina correct kind of balance. When the numbers of lactobacillus drop off, we start to getproblems because we're going to get bacteria and potentially yeasts like Candida albicansand various other Candida species that can
start getting the upper hand and that's notwhat we want. Because this can create a huge shift in our gut and create a lot of problemswith many other parts of the body. By consuming a good yogurt, for example. Idid a tutorial recently on a yogurt called Activia by a company called Danone. That's not a badyogurt; however, it's got predominantly bifida bacteria in it. So taking a good probiotic,Mark, I think is worth mentioning. Something that contains multiple strains of lactobacillusis a very good idea. Lactobacillus plantarum or lactobacillus rhamnosus are two of thebetter lactobacillus strains to have in your digestive system on a daily basis for severalmonths to help to counter Candida.
These in particular are very good strainsbecause they boost lots of different aspects of your immune function. It's also importantto make sure that your probiotic contains the bifida bacteria as well, preferably oneor two strains. Having a lacto and bifida high quality capsule with a dosage of at least10 billion per cap, if not more, is a clever idea long term to seed the gut, to put thebacteria in there and then, again, to eat the right kind of foods to make sure thatwe're going to feed these guys up. Mark, just check out my Canxida Restore. It'sa product I think you'll like. I've designed this product and put it in a very specialcapsule that will only open up inside the
small intestine, so it's going to make surethat implantation takes place in the right area. A very easy to take capsule and highlyeffective. To answer your question is lactobacillus acidophilusgood for Candida. It's very, very good to have. Most people I do stool testing on, infact, have got low levels of these bacteria. So by taking a probiotic and eating yogurton a regular basis, you're going to ensure that you're going to get sufficient amountsover a period of time. Thank you for your question, Mark.
Why I Recommend Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS 1
Hi there. It's Eric Bakker, naturopath fromNew Zealand, author of Candida Crusher, and the formulator of Canxida, the Canxida rangeof dietary supplements. You may be familiar with Canxida Remove. I've just created CanxidaRestore. Canxida Restore contains seven of the best enzymes I could find for people withgut problems and yeast infections, but also small intestinal bowel overgrowth, and allkinds of gut disorders. It also contains the six best beneficial bacteria, including lactobacillusacidophilus DDS 1, which I'm going to speak about today. The acidophilus DDS 1, the Department of Dairy Science 1, is probably one of the best researchedof all the lactobacilli beneficial bacteria.
Khem Shahani spent over 20 years studyingthis one beneficial lactobacillus, lactic acid loving, beneficial bacteria. Khem hashis roots in food science. Khem studied the effect of bacteria on food many, many yearsago in the US, and probably was one of the world's leading researchers in his day andprobably still is today for lactobacillus acidophilus. The DDS 1 is a human strain of beneficial bacteria. It's the only one that was awardeda patent for its resistance to antibiotics. It's probably the only lactobacillus thathas a resistance to antibiotics, which is very important for you to remember if you'retaking antibiotics. This is not going to be
killing off or affecting this lactobacillusacidophilus. There are over 200 research papers that have been published on lactobacillusacidophilus DDS 1, so ranking it probably one of the most important of all lactobacillusacidophilus probiotics that you can take. And probably the only one you seriously wantto take if you're interested in the science base of beneficial bacteria and the researchthat exists. There are several reasons why lactobacillusacidophilus is so important for the body. One of the most important ones is it helpsthe body produce lots of B vitamins. Folic acid production, B vitamin production occurswith very good levels of lactobacillus in
the stool. A three or four plus is what wewould find in your stool report if you had high levels of lactobacillus acidophilus. The B vitamins are very beneficial for carbohydrate metabolism and energy production. Most peoplewho are tired have got very low levels of lactobacillus acidophilus. Most people withcancers have got very low folate levels. By having these beneficial bacteria, you're goingto dramatically reduce your chances of developing fatigue, cancers, and many different typesof diseases for that reason. Acidophilin is a type of chemical producedby these bacteria. It's a very powerful antibiotic that has been shown to be effective on over23 different types of pathogenic bacteria
alone. It's more potent than tobramycin, gentamycin;many different types of antibiotics don't even come near the strength of the acidophilinproduced by these particular bacteria. Again, why would you want to take antibiotics whenyou can have beneficial bacteria that actually produce several types of antibiotics themselves? It's crazy. Those are two powerful reasons. The third reason is the production of enzymes.Protease, lipase, lactase enzymes are produced by lactobacillus that helps to break downfood in your gut, so you need to break it down with your teeth first, of course. Themacro particles break them down to small particles and then the micro particles will get reducedto virtually nothing by bacteria that produce
enzymes. You need lots of enzymes to breakfood down properly. That's why when I developed Canxida RestoreI put lots of enzymes in there to greatly assist in that process. I've got several enzymesthat help break down different types of carbohydrates, a few that break down protein and fat, sovery, very important to have lots of enzymes at the same time as the lactobacillus specieswhen you're starting out trying to restore your gut. That product I developed is calledCanxida Restore. Look out for it at Canxida . Thanks for tuning in.
